Join us and LCRA for an Exciting Presentation at the Redbud Center at Tom Miller Dam Site – Don’t Miss Out!

While we’re still awaiting approval for an exclusive tour of the Dam, we’re thrilled to offer a fascinating presentation that dives deep into the incredible work happening at the site.

Join us as we explore:

  • The innovative work being done at the Dam
  • The unique safety challenges faced by the team
  • How they’ve tackled these challenges with creativity and expertise
  • The impressive results achieved
  • What’s on the horizon for the future of the project

We have two different tickets options for this meeting:

Ticket option 1: Tour of the dam followed by lunch and a presentation. Start time – (10am) until lunch and presentation at 11:30 am(?).

  • Tour participants need to arrive by 10:00 and then the Team will do a quick introduction and kickoff with the goal to leave the conference room at 10:10.

Ticket option 2 : Lunch and a presentation by LCRA on the Redbud dam. 11:30 AM (????)

***If you would like to participate in the tour of the dam we are only able to accommodate a total of 30 persons in 2 groups for the tour.  There is also a required security check.  Please make sure that you submit a photo of your government issued identification  by 3/20/2025 to: secretary@centraltexas.assp.org

Identification Requirements:

Copies of identification (front and back) should be legible and of high enough quality to view pictures.

  • Driver’s license or identification card issued by a state or territory of the United States.
  • United States passport or passport card.
  • United States military identification or Common Access Card.
  • United States Department of State Personal Identification Card.
  • United States Permanent Resident Card (Form I-551).
  • United States Employment Authorization Card (Form I-766).
  • United States B1/B2 visa and Border Crossing Card.
  • Foreign passport with a valid United States visa or dated entry mark.

****LCRA will not accept any other form of identification, including these common documents:

  • Social Security card.
  • Birth certificate.
  • Foreign government consular identification card.
  • Foreign passport without a valid United States visa or dated entry mark.
  • Foreign government driver’s license or identification card.
  • International driver’s license.
  • United States Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
  • School, university or employer identification card.

Tour requirements:

Tom Miller dam is an industrial facility, so there are hazards inherently present from being on-site. We’ll guide the tour through the facility to avoid the big hazards, however, proper attire is required. Closed toed and flat shoes, with or without a defined heel (no high heels) are appropriate, and it is recommended to wear pants. No food or drinks are allowed on the tour, and because it is critical infrastructure no pictures are allowed during the tour. If y’all want to get a group photo, there are a couple of locations we could get a photo if anyone is interested in sharing. Finally, there are several flights of open grated stairs and uneven terrain, so please check with your team if this will be a concern.

If tour participants have accessibility or medical concerns please let me know prior to the tour. The tour will require using stairways, and some walkways at our facilities are at heights and may have open grating.

Proper footwear is required:

o   Heel height no greater than 2.5”

o   Heel width greater than 1”

o   Fully enclosed foot

o   Non-skid and penetration resistant soles are recommended.

o   Sandals, flip flops, rubber sandals, open-toed, or high-heels are not allowed.

Proper clothing is required:

o   Loose fit clothing is not allowed. Examples of loose fitting clothing are: skirts, baggy pants, unzipped jackets, etc.

o   Natural-fiber clothing such a 100% cotton, wool or denim is recommended.

  • No pictures, video, audio, or other recordings are allowed during the tour. A photo opportunity will be provided at the end of the tour.
  • Tour participants must stay with the tour group.
  • Tour participants must not touch controls for equipment, including switches and buttons.
  • No food or drink is allowed.

Restrooms are available immediately prior to and after the tour.
