October Tour Event!

Site Tour: WM Recycling Center, Friday, October 16

The Central Texas chapters of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) and the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) are pleased to invite members to a behind-the-scenes tour of a WM recycling center on Friday, October 16, 2026, at 9:00 AM.

This is a chance to see the day-to-day operations of a working materials recovery facility up close and to learn how WM manages the safety and health hazards of sorting and processing recyclables. It will interest anyone who works in environmental health and safety, industrial hygiene, or waste and recycling operations.

Location: WM recycling facility, 801 Kohlenberg Rd, New Braunfels, TX 78130

Space is limited to 15 attendees. For safety reasons, WM will lead the tour in three rotating groups of five, and the host facility’s conference room holds about 15 people. Registration will close once all 15 spots are filled or on October 14th, whichever comes first. Because the facility needs a list of guests ahead of time, please include your name, job title, and company when you register.
